Foster Kittens

We often find kittens in the field who are too young – and sometimes too sick – for spay/neuter surgery. That’s where foster parents come in.

Fosters offer the kittens a home until they are big and healthy enough to have the surgery. Some kittens need just food and water; others need medicine as well.

The kittens also need to be socialized, so that they can be placed up for adoption once they are spayed and neutered. Fostering times vary from just a couple of weeks to a couple of months, depending on kitten age, size and health.

MEOW Now offers training to anyone who volunteers to foster, and pays for necessary medicines and veterinary care.
